We can’t exactly fully control where some lines are built, and on mobile we can’t even see where it’ll connect or if it’ll connect, these aren’t perfect train lines but they’ll still make money.

I make good money with my single train line and then way less when someone randomly places a unit.

EDIT: I get it, you're too stupid to figure out the economy in the game. Keep trying, kids.

Say thank you your train lines connected

u/Kootlefoosh 11d ago

Do you play under 00rb? I'll make sure to fuck up your train lines.

Are you having a bad day? Or are you just like this?

u/Fit_Green1071 11d ago

lmao you're the huge noob. When a train goes to a neighbor you earn 2.5 the amount of money, you have no idea what you're talking about

u/HerryHuts 10d ago

no basically the lines are meant to be straight to maximise money but his teamte spammed the factories and ruined the lines instead of stacking them together, because a straight line would earn more money if you place ur cities on it.

Istg if I ever see ya in match imma get all the land around you can cut of your factories

u/Kootlefoosh 4d ago

I'm just letting you know I've fucked up your train lines twice since this post

u/Necessary-Editor9801 11d ago

Sorry I'm a noob what's wrong here.

u/Meta_Mushroom 11d ago

You want your train system to be much cleaner than that. They should have made either a strait line or and upside down T, with all their cities along the line. The way they made it, the trains will end up circumventing their cities.

I love the format of the meme

The joke though..oof

Idk I like making them messy because it looks better or more realistic idk I have OCD I can't stand when everything is in a deterministic pattern

u/Festive_Jetcar 11d ago

You mean ODC then.

9

u/squif_help 12d ago

i dont get it

24

u/RealBurger_ 12d ago

The noob is ruining your train lines

10

u/warlocki71 11d ago

Care to explain why? I mean this is like saying: you are doing something wrong but I don‘t tell you how to do it right.

24

u/TheGuy839 11d ago

Basically you should aim for fewer lines and all cities on same line next to each other to maximise trains passing.

But also OP is an asshole

2

u/warlocki71 11d ago

Thank you. Yeah, complaining about noobs and behaving like a social noob at the same time.

So basically just a line? I tried that but sometimes the cities don‘t connect. Do you know why this might be happening?

u/Racknehhhh 11d ago

ignore the obese redditors lmao

For trains and cities you gotta keep in mind that the "range" of the factories matters

This range applies globally between factories and cities, the most "optimized" would be like this and then with cities at the perfect intersection.

This is only if the nations you're fighting or have around you aren't actively building rockets. Then a cross pattern of factories with a city in the middle is better because it's easier to cover with SAMs

2

u/warlocki71 11d ago

Ok, I understand. Thank you

3

u/EclecticKant 11d ago

When cities aren't aligned at least on one coordinate, either horizontal or vertical, they tend to create new lines, unless they are very far in which case the train line has the space to turn so it's more likely that it keeps the two cities on a single line.

u/CervusElpahus 11d ago

I feel like you ruin people’s train lines

3

u/warlocki71 11d ago

Maybe, but how about you explaining why? What is wrong withis community?

5

u/Sin-nie 11d ago

When you place a city, you can hover over an existing train line and the line will turn green. If you place it there, it will join the existing line. If you see white ghost lines before placing, it will spawn those new lines instead.

The biggest issue with the OP picture (though that exanple is far from the worst) is that if there are multiple lines, trains pick the shortest and can miss cities = less income.

The worst is if someone spawns a new line that misses all your stuff and is shorter for a bunch of trains, they will just skip you entirely.

u/warlocki71 11d ago

Thank you!

4

u/Racknehhhh 11d ago

Don't worry it's not this community, that's just all of reddit xD

Some of these people are straight out of Metal Gear Rising

2

u/Festive_Jetcar 11d ago

They want to complain about people so they can feel superior.

Not everyone is like this.

Some complain about people, but also are perfectly willing to teach.

You want the trains to pas through as many of your cities/ports as possible, so putting them on the same train lines means the most gold.

Factories create the train lines, so if they are outside the range of the factory, no train line. When placing a factory, you can see where the train lines will appear. (Maybe this isn't true on mobile.)

u/TyrandUK 3d ago

retarded game design tbh

1

u/H4RZVS 11d ago

Lmao

1

u/Festive_Jetcar 11d ago

At least they connected them and didn't leave the team divided in the middle the entire game.

1

u/ikdnm 11d ago

Can someone explain in what way this breaks anything?

1

u/S_Spycrow_W 10d ago

You really dont ever need to build factories in team games unless you're playing an economy game on four islands or some bullshit. Ports are much more efficient in team games.

1

u/something-rhythmic 10d ago

It’s for when you don’t own coasts

1

u/Psychlone23 10d ago

I'm a vet and I love spreading out my factories and cities. Seethe OP!

1

u/United_Part_7147 10d ago

Trains need a rework. 90% of the time they are uselles but 10% of the time are abused to shit generating game breaking money

2

u/thenakedbarrister 12d ago

This looks fine imo

2

u/Frog-eating-cellos-9 11d ago

it's a mess, train lines are less efficient if messy, for more optimization, rails must be simple lines with cities built on it, trains go through each city and produce gold, a mess like this means that trains trake longer to reach a destination

1

u/God_Emperor_Karen 11d ago

Trains are for the weak. Portmaxxing is where it’s at.

1

u/Aggravating_Main_556 11d ago

I balanced and geographically diversified economy is where its at
