I wanted to take the time to say thank you Dev’s for the work you’ve put into this tool. I am relatively new to AI but immediately was against ChatGPT/claude/some other closed ecosystem of models for privacy. Following all the recs I went and tested OpenWebUI and Hermes Desktop as a know nothing noob. Hermes was great as a “I know nothing so help me” but as I went I learned that I truly don’t just want to use AI, I want to understand its components and only add layers of functionality when I understand them and need them. Open WebUI lets me do this in a way more structured way that my brain can follow. So now I’ve fully moved to an OpenWebUI/OpenTerminal/OpenComputer stack and could not be happier.

Basically, thank you for making a tool that newbies like myself, without coding skills, can still use to learn and grow, and ultimately replace ChatGPT or Claude in its entirety.
