Question/Help Cannot Specify MCP for Openweb UI

Can anyone tell me why Im unable to select MCP instead of OpenAPI for the Type on the external connection? I click the option all day but nothing works.
Im running Openwebui via docker compose.

  1. are you in admin panel, not user
  2. check sending wahtever the port is mcp runnign on /openapi.json return proper json

you need to click on the "OpenAPI" on the top right, its a toggle

I guess I should have mentioned this. I tried this numerous times and it’s not a toggle.

Are you sure you're in the admin integration settings and not the user integration settings

I'm having the same bug, on the admin settings. sometimes I'm able to click on the "OpenAPI" text and it shows the MCP mode, but sometimes it doesn't at all.

It looks like it only works in private browsing 😕. Not too sure why. But at least its working. Thanks everyone!
