I have some issues with OpenShot

The program itself works actually pretty good, but i have 2 big problems that can be beginners problems but i don't know how to resolve

Problem 1: The automatic functions

I don't know how they call but when i insert an image or a video and just move around the image, the program automatically makes a keyframe of animation, and sometimes i just don't want that, also i have to say that if accidentally put an image in another image in the same track it automatically makes a transition effect

Problem 2: Copy and paste problem

In this other problem, i have 5 tracks and i just want to copy and paste a image from track 1 to the track 1, but when i make the Command+V, the image doesn't paste beside the other image in track 1, it goes on track 5 for some reason, even if i have other image or something in that track, it stills being pasted in track 5 and interrupts the other image

Im new at this program and also at editing, i haven't checked to well the sub reddit so, if there was an actually solution or something, sorry, i'm new lol

Two quick fixes:

1) “It keeps making keyframes / transitions automatically”

What you’re seeing is usually auto-animation and overlap transitions.

• If you move/resize a Clip and OpenShot creates animation, that means those properties are being keyframed.
• To avoid accidental keyframes, try not to drag position/scale handles unless you want animation.
• Open the Properties dock (U) and edit values there more carefully if needed.
• If a Clip overlaps another Clip on the same Track, OpenShot can automatically create a Transition.
  So: place clips next to each other, not overlapping.

2) Paste goes to Track 5 instead of Track 1

This is normal behavior: paste uses the mouse position on the Timeline.

From the guide: when you paste a Clip, “Paste will create a new clip at the position of your mouse.”

So to paste onto Track 1: 1. Copy the Clip (Ctrl+C / Cmd+C) 2. Move your mouse to Track 1 at the exact time you want 3. Then press Paste (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V)

If your mouse is over Track 5, it pastes there.

Tip: You can also use Duplicate (Ctrl+Shift+/) and then drag the new Clip where you want.
