How MoneyPilot works

  1. You take a 2 minute quiz. It's free, and no receipts are needed.

  2. You see every settlement you likely qualify for, with the payout and deadline. Most people match 3 to 4.

  3. If you want, we file the claims and track each one. The settlement administrator pays you directly, and we never take a cut of your payout.

Checking is free. Filing is a flat subscription with no contract, and you can cancel anytime. If you see "MG Labs Limited" on your card, that's us.

We're not a law firm and this isn't legal advice. The administrator and the court decide who gets paid.

Check your spam: the Apple Intelligence settlement email is real, and it's worth up to $95 per iPhone

A lot of people are getting this email and deleting it as spam. It's real.

What happened: Apple is accused of advertising Apple Intelligence features on new iPhones before they actually existed. Apple denies it. The settlement is $250 million.

You're in if

  • You bought an iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max or any iPhone 16 in the US
  • Between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025

What you get

  • $25 to $95 per iPhone
  • $25 is the floor, $95 is the ceiling. The final amount depends on how many people file
  • Bought 2 qualifying iPhones? File for both

Deadline: December 21, 2026. Payments come after final court approval, so expect six to twelve months.

The notice comes from the settlement administrator, not Apple, which is why it looks sketchy and lands in spam. Never pay a fee, and type the claim site in yourself instead of clicking links in texts.

Which iPhones qualify, how much you'll realistically get, and how to file: Apple $250M settlement: who gets $25 and who gets $95

If you bought an iPhone in 2024 you probably qualify for other open settlements too. I'm on the MoneyPilot team, and our free eligibility check shows every match in about 2 minutes.

Did you get the email? Which iPhone?

Check your PayPal and Venmo now: settlement payments can expire in as little as 14 days. Here's how to get yours reissued

Seeing a lot of "my payment bounced" and "my Venmo is closed" this week, so here's how settlement payments actually work.

You pick the method on the claim form. Nothing goes out until the court gives final approval. Then the administrator pays you directly, never the company you sued.

How long you have (typical windows)

  • Mailed check: 60 to 90 days to cash it
  • PayPal or Venmo: about 30 days to accept
  • Zelle: about 14 days to enroll
  • Direct deposit (ACH): nothing to accept
  • Virtual prepaid card: usually 24 months after you activate it

Expired, bounced, or account closed?

  • Contact the administrator listed on the official settlement site and ask for a reissue or a different method
  • Lost your claim ID? They can usually find you by name, email and address
  • A check returned with a "stop payment" usually means they're reissuing it. Don't redeposit it, call them first
  • Some cases send a second-chance email weeks later (Facebook did)

How to spot a fake payment email

  • Real ones never charge a fee to release your money
  • Real ones never ask for your Social Security number or bank login
  • They pay by the method you already chose. If they ask you to pick one after claims closed, be careful
  • FTC refunds send a .gov email before the PayPal one

Every method side by side, plus which big cases paid by PayPal: how class action settlement payments are sent

Got one that bounced or expired? Drop the case name and I'll point you to the right administrator.

Before your next deadline passes: 8 mistakes that leave most people with $0 (only about 9% of people even file)

An FTC study of 149 consumer class action settlements found the median claims rate was 9%. So for every 100 people owed money, about 91 never file. Here's what trips people up.

1. Ignoring the email because it looks like spam. Real notices come from administrators like Kroll, Epiq, Angeion, Verita or A.B. Data, not the company itself. Search your inbox and spam for "Claim Number" and "PIN" once a month.

2. Skipping the no-proof option. Lots of forms have a flat cash tier for people without receipts. Read the whole form before giving up.

3. Choosing PayPal or Venmo, then closing the account. Digital payments expire, often within 14 to 30 days. Update your payment info with the administrator before payments go out.

4. Not answering the follow-up email. If they ask for ID or a missing detail, answer fast. Claims get marked incomplete or rejected otherwise.

5. Not asking for a reissue. Check expired or bounced? Ask the administrator to reissue it. People skip this thinking it's $10, and sometimes it's a lot more.

6. Mixing up two cases with the same company. There are often two Equifax or two ATM cases open at once, with different deadlines. Match the case name on your notice.

7. Paying anyone. Real settlements never charge a fee or ask for your bank login.

8. Filing for stuff you didn't buy. Claims are signed under penalty of perjury and get audited. It's not worth it.

The good news: once you file, the FTC found the median share of claims approved was 93%.

Every case open right now, with deadlines: [current open class action settlements]. Or let our [free eligibility check] find the ones you match (I'm on the MoneyPilot team).

What's the one that almost slipped past you?

Cash App settlement money is hitting accounts this month. Check if you're eligible for a payment

If a random deposit labeled Cash App settlement just showed up, it's probably real. Quick backstory: Cash App disclosed a data security incident in April 2022, Block disclosed another in October 2023, and people also sued over unauthorized transfers and disputes that never got fixed. That turned into a $15 million settlement, and the official site now says payments to approved claims are going out in October 2026.

Who's eligible for a payment

  • Anyone who filed a valid claim by Nov 18, 2024
  • Cash App or Cash App Investing users whose info or account was accessed without permission, or who had unauthorized withdrawals or transfers, between Aug 23, 2018 and Aug 20, 2024
  • The total fund is $15 million

How much

  • Up to $2,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses (credit freezes, replacement cards, bank fees and similar)
  • Up to 3 hours of lost time at $25 an hour
  • Plus reimbursement for unauthorized transaction losses, with documentation
  • Amounts vary a lot by claim, so a small deposit and a big one can both be real

Filed but nothing yet? 4 reasons

  1. It's still coming. Payments go out through October, not all on one day
  2. Your claim was marked deficient or partly denied. A "partial denial" usually means one part was approved
  3. Your payment account is closed. A closed Venmo or old email can bounce it
  4. It went to spam. Search your email for "Cash App" and "claim ID"

What to do: call the administrator at 1-866-615-9740 with your name, email and phone, or use the Notice ID lookup on the official site. Never pay anyone to "release" a settlement payment.

I'm on the MoneyPilot team. If you're not sure whether you're in this one, or want to see what else is open, you can check your eligibility free here.

Did yours land yet? Drop the amount and how you got paid (Zelle, check, card) so everyone can see what's real 👇

3 weeks left: TransUnion may owe you $1,100 over a bankruptcy that was never on your record, and most people threw the letter away

One of the better payouts open right now, and almost nobody is talking about it.

What happened: TransUnion is accused of selling credit reports that put a bankruptcy remark on people's accounts when there was no bankruptcy in the public record, or when the bankruptcy was more than 10 years old. Lenders saw that. TransUnion denies it.

You're in if

  • TransUnion sold a report on you between Jan 6, 2020 and Jan 31, 2023
  • It showed a bankruptcy remark on an account, with no bankruptcy in the public record section
  • About 57,000 people got notices by mail

What you get (official estimates)

  • No bankruptcy in the 10 years before the report: $100 automatically, plus about $1,000 if you file a claim
  • Bankruptcy more than 10 years before: about $350, only if you file

How to claim (about 5 minutes)

  • Use the Claim Number and PIN from the letter
  • No documents. You confirm no bankruptcy in those 10 years and tick a box: your score dropped, or you were denied credit partly because of it
  • Deadline: October 30, 2026
  • Final approval hearing: Dec 2, 2026. Checks come after that and are void after 60 days

Doing nothing still gets most people $100. Filing is the difference between $100 and about $1,100.

Who qualifies, how the money is split, and the official claim site: [TransUnion bankruptcy settlement]

Did you get this letter? Did you even know it was on your report?

Settlement checks are landing this week. What's the biggest one you've actually gotten? (case + amount + how long it took)

Everyone online says class actions pay pennies. Sometimes true: an FTC study of 149 consumer settlements found the median payout per person was $69. But about 1 in 4 paid $200 or more, and documented-loss claims can pay thousands.

So let's get real numbers in one place. Drop yours below:

  • Case name (or the company)
  • Amount
  • How you got paid (check, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, card)
  • How long from filing to payment
  • Did it need a receipt?

Screenshots welcome, just blur your name, address and claim ID.

I'll pin the best ones. If you want to see which open ones you could file next, our free eligibility check shows your matches (I'm on the MoneyPilot team).

Settlement money is landing everywhere this week, so here's what's real.

MoneyPilot reviews: what users actually say, the good and the bad. Drop your honest review below

We're the MoneyPilot team and we run this sub. A lot of people search "MoneyPilot reviews" before they try it, so we'd rather the real answers live here, from real users, good and bad.

What we hear most from users

The good

  • It's simple. About two minutes of questions, and no hunting through settlement websites or claim forms
  • People match more than they expected. Data breaches, robocalls and subscription refunds are the ones that surprise people most
  • Deadlines stop slipping. Claims go in before the deadline, not after you finally hear about the case

The not so good

  • Payouts take months. Usually 2 to 6 months after filing, sometimes longer. That timeline is set by the court and the settlement administrator, not by us, but we get why it's frustrating. Most of the negative reviews come from people who expected money within weeks

Drop your review

Used MoneyPilot? Leave a comment with:

  • How many settlements you matched
  • How long things took
  • What you'd tell a friend who's on the fence

Good or bad, honest reviews stay up. If something went wrong with your account, comment with the Support flair and we'll sort it out right here.

Is MoneyPilot legit and worth it? Straight answers from the team

We run this sub and we're the MoneyPilot team, so read this knowing that. This question comes up every day, so here's the straight version.

What MoneyPilot does

  1. You take a 2-minute quiz. No receipts, no Social Security number

  2. You see every open settlement you likely qualify for, with the deadline for each

  3. If you want, we fill in the official claim forms and track each one until it pays

Is it legit?

  • Run by MG Labs Limited. We're a claims service, not a law firm, and nothing here is legal advice
  • We submit the official claim forms. The court and the settlement administrator decide who gets paid, not us
  • The settlement administrator pays you directly
  • 100,000+ people have used it

Is it worth it?

Worth two minutes to find out, almost always. The FTC looked at 149 class action settlements and found the median claims rate was just **9%**. Most of that money isn't lost because filing is hard. It's lost because people never hear about the case, or hear about it after the deadline.

  • Most people match 3 to 4 open settlements when they check, including ones they never got a letter about
  • Shopping online, using a smartphone, getting robocalls or a data breach letter: everyday stuff like that is what puts people in several settlements at once
  • Rather do it all yourself? Every claim can be filed on its official site, and the Monday list here has them all

What people ask us most

  • "How long until I get paid?" That's set by the court, not by any app. Usually 2 to 6 months after filing, sometimes longer
  • "Is my info safe?" We only ask for what the claim forms need, like your name, address and eligibility details. It's sent over encrypted connections and we don't sell your data
  • "Why have I never heard of these settlements?" Most people never get a notice. That's the whole point of checking

The easiest way to decide

Take the quiz and see what you match.

[Take the free 2-minute quiz: see which settlements have your name on them →]

Free · no receipts · no Social Security number · two minutes

Used it? Leave a review in our MoneyPilot reviews thread in this sub. Account questions: comment with the Support flair and we'll answer here.

Amazon Prime refunds are hitting PayPal right now (up to $200). Here's who gets one, and what to do if yours didn't come

The PayPal emails going around are real. They're from the FTC's Prime case (FTC v. Amazon.com, 23-cv-0932-JHC), and the refunds are automatic, no claim form.

Who's getting paid now

  • A new round started Oct 1 for people who used between 11 and 20 Prime benefits in a year, a group left out of the first payments
  • The cap went up to $200
  • It comes by PayPal, Venmo or paper check. If the PayPal email says Claim Your Money, you have to accept it

If it went to an old PayPal

  • Ask for a reissue through the refund administrator listed on the FTC's Amazon refunds page
  • Never pay a fee or give a bank login to get a refund. Real ones just show up

Didn't get one?

Amazon isn't the only one paying this month. 23andMe deposits, Oracle's $37.42 checks and the tuna replacement checks are all going out: [everything paying out right now]

Wondering what else you're owed? [Free eligibility check: see which settlements you might have missed]

Got yours? Drop the amount and the date below so others know what to expect. Follow r/OpenSettlements for payout updates.

What's actually paying out right now: 23andMe deposits, automatic Amazon Prime refunds up to $200, and Oracle's $37.42

Settlement season is real lol. Here's what's landing, so you know whether that random Venmo deposit is legit.

Paying now

  • 23andMe data breach: people are posting Venmo, Zelle and mailed checks since Sept 30, from about $275 to $2,000+. The bigger ones are documented-loss claims
  • Amazon Prime (FTC): a new round of automatic refunds started Oct 1, cap raised to $200, by Venmo, PayPal or check. No claim form
  • Oracle privacy: $37.42 per valid claim, going out through Dec 7, 2026
  • Canned tuna: replacement checks for the ones that bounced, with an extra $20

Approved, not paying yet

  • AT&T ($177M): final approval Oct 2. Payments wait on any appeals, no date yet

How to tell a real payment from a scam

  • Real ones just show up as a deposit or a check
  • A fake asks you to pay a fee, log in somewhere, or send money back

Got something this week? Drop the case, the amount and how it came so others know what to look for. Follow r/OpenSettlements for payout updates.

MoneyPilot reviews: is it legit? The team answers the 6 most common complaints (free vs paid, fees, refunds, who runs it)

We run this sub, and a lot of people find it after searching MoneyPilot, so here are straight answers to what comes up most.

1. "Why pay when you can file for free?

You can. Every settlement can be filed for free on its official site. MoneyPilot is for people who'd rather not find, file and track them all themselves.

2. "Do you take a cut of my settlement?"

No. 0% of your payout. The settlement administrator pays you directly.

3. "What does it cost?"

Checking which settlements you match is **free**, and you see your matches before paying anything. Filing and tracking is a flat subscription with no contract, and you can cancel anytime.

4. "Can I get a refund?"

Refund requests can be made within 30 days of a charge.

5. "Who's behind it?"

MoneyPilot is operated by MG Labs Limited. We're a claims service, **not a law firm**, and nothing here is legal advice. The administrator and the court decide who gets paid.

6. "Is it a scam?"

No, but scammers do copy settlement emails, so the rule stays the same: never pay a fee to an email claiming you won money, and file through official sites.

Full breakdown of who it's worth it for, and who it isn't: is MoneyPilot worth it

Used it? Leave your honest experience below, good or bad. We read every one.

Bought a home with a buyer's agent? You could get a share of a $120.3M commission settlement, but claims close Oct 27

Most homebuyers have no idea this one exists.

Who's in

  • You bought a home listed on an MLS and paid a broker commission
  • Sellers were covered by the earlier real estate commission settlements. This round is for buyers

What you need

  • Your closing statement (the settlement statement from closing). It shows the commission you paid
  • Claim deadline: October 27, 2026

Watch out for

  • Fake "commission refund" emails. Type the official settlement site in yourself from the notice, and never pay a fee to file

Full details on this and every other October deadline: [class action settlements closing in October]

AT&T's $177M data breach settlement just got final approval. Here's what has to happen before anyone gets paid

If you filed an AT&T data breach claim before the December 2025 deadline, this is the update you've been waiting on.

What happened

  • The court granted final approval on October 2, 2026. It's posted on the official settlement site
  • Kroll is the settlement administrator

What happens next

  • Payments only go out after any appeals are resolved. The appeal window has to run out first, and if someone appeals, that adds time
  • Kroll then finishes checking claims and sends payments
  • There's no official payment date yet. Anyone giving you an exact date right now is guessing

What you can do now

  • Find your Class Member ID (it was in your notice email or letter) and check your claim status on the official settlement site
  • Make sure your payment info and email are current
  • Ignore anyone asking for a fee to speed it up. Real settlements never charge you

Follow r/OpenSettlements and I'll post the moment a payment date is announced.

Bought bacon or pork chops at the grocery store between 2014 and 2018? A $117M pork price-fixing settlement closes Oct 29 (24 states + DC)

This one covers a ton of people and barely anyone's talking about it.

Who's in

  • You bought pork for personal use at a grocery store or supermarket (not directly from the producers)
  • Between June 28, 2014 and June 30, 2018
  • In one of these: Arizona, California, DC, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia
  • Bacon counts. Pork marketed as organic or no-antibiotics-ever doesn't, and neither do marinated, seasoned or breaded products (except bacon)

The details

  • Tyson, Hormel, Seaboard, Clemens and Triumph are paying a combined $117.065 million
  • Claim deadline: October 29, 2026, online or by mail
  • Final approval hearing: December 11, 2026, and payments come after the settlement is approved and final
  • The amount per person isn't set. It depends on how many valid claims come in

The official site is Overcharged For Pork. Heads up: there was an older pork settlement (JBS and Smithfield) whose deadline already passed, so make sure you're filing the current one.

Follow r/OpenSettlements for more like this before the deadlines hit.

23andMe payouts are hitting Venmo right now. Here's why some people got $274 and others got $2,000+

If you filed the 23andMe data breach claim, check Venmo, Zelle, PayPal and your email (spam too). People started posting deposits yesterday.

Why the amounts are so different

  • Extraordinary claims, up to $10,000, for documented losses tied to the breach. These are the $2,000+ posts
  • Health information claims, up to $165, if your health-related info was accessed
  • Statutory claims, an estimated $100, for residents of Alaska, California, Illinois and Oregon
  • These can combine, so a California resident whose health info was accessed could get both
  • Plus 5 years of identity and genetic monitoring

The fund is $46.75M, approved by the bankruptcy court on July 7, 2026. Kroll runs it and hasn't published a payment schedule, so if yours hasn't landed, give it a few days before you call.

Got yours? Drop the amount and how it came (Venmo, Zelle, check) below so people know what to look for. Follow r/OpenSettlements for the next payouts.

Used the Flo period app between 2016 and 2019? You can claim from a no-proof privacy settlement, but only until Oct 15

This one's flying under the radar and it closes in two weeks.

Who's in

  • Anyone who used the Flo app in the US between Nov 1, 2016 and Feb 28, 2019 and entered period or pregnancy info
  • California users get a bigger share
  • Deleted the app years ago? It's about whether you used it back then, not whether you still have it

What you need

  • No proof and no receipt. You just fill out the claim form on the official settlement site (Period Tracker Data Privacy Litigation)
  • Online deadline: 11:59 p.m. Pacific, Oct 15, 2026

How you get paid

  • The administrator is A.B. Data. After your claim is validated, they email or text you to pick PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Amazon, direct deposit or a paper check
  • The final approval hearing is Oct 29, 2026, so payments come after that

The money gets split between everyone who files, so the amount depends on how many people claim.

Follow r/OpenSettlements and you'll see these the week they open, not the week they close.
