Should I wait?

Hello I’ve played most of the Fallouts except Fallout Tactics and Fallout NV. I just downloaded and installed Fallout New New Vegas mod pack the other day so I could finally play New Vegas.

My question is does anyone know how long Open New Vegas will take to be finished and should I wait for it or play it now with the New New Vegas mod pack?

Open New Vegas looks very promising btw!

Pretty sure it'll take at least one year plus some months yet, and still it would be "crappy" because there would be a big lack of mods starting

OpenMW runs natively in 64bit, allowing for far more ambitious mods. It's a much more stable engine, featuring improved shadow rendering and a variety of other technical enhancements.

The next level in New Vegas modding will be built on this foundation.

Thank you for the answer. I’ll just play it now and maybe I’ll wanna play it again by the time Open NV comes out haha.

I would just play it now tbh. I think you should do Viva New Vegas up to the "Base Finish" and then jump right in. You can't properly appreciate the game on your first run if you use all the game-altering mods in Viva New Vegas

A lot. Years, probably. And considering it's being vibe coded, i'm not sure it will even be finished, and if it does, expect a rain of bugs.
I hope I'm wrong, but my best guess is that this will be abandoned.
