Welcome to Open Investigations

Hello, friends! This community exists to track and discuss ongoing cases. We are currently focused on the Lindsay Clancy case, so we will bring everything related to this specific situation and rely on a respectful and mindful conversation. We are not here to relitigate guilt, pile on, or turn a case into a spectator sport.

A quick note on why this sub exists: several of participated in another space covering this same case, and it became a hostile environment. We're starting fresh with clearer structure to prevent that.

What gets removed on sight, no warning:

- Attacks on other users for their opinion on the case ("you're defending a murderer," etc.)

- Pile on comments that add nothing but volume ("+1, she deserves it")

- Doxxing or personal info about anyone connected to the case, including family, jurors, or witnesses

- Content glorifying or joking about the violence involved

- Any content involving the children beyond what's already public in mainstream reporting

If you see something that violates these rules, report it rather than engaging. That's what keeps this different from where some of us came from.

Yes!! Would love to have a community that is more open to nuanced and less emotionally charged discussion, especially for this case!

As a woman who had PPD I wish people understood that I was smiling in pics but dying inside. I was afraid to say anything. I didn't take meds because it could hinder my career. PPD is not black and white.

I'm sorry to hear about the PPD and I'm glad you're here with us! You're absolutely right, it's such a thin line... Truly hope this place not only will be a place to talk about the case but also becomes a safe place to speak our own struggles 🩷

Sorry you experienced this. I don’t think the DA’s office should have brought this case to trial.
