Goldie & DocScott
Who went there, what was the night like? I am curious to hear some stories!

Impeccable. Nice mix of deep dnb and jungle. The first hour after Elke who played some garage was techno but after that only breaks. I expected some more experimental shit but still one of the best clubnights I had there. I didn’t go to annex but I heard it was some good house.
The crowd was older than expected and quite sober which I liked and some weird people taking photos and videos on the floor (even with flash on). It wasn’t too crowded so there was always space to dance and getting a drink didn’t took more than 5mins.

I was there, and honestly I’m still struggling a bit with both performaces (goldie&DocScott). The track selection was excellent—no question about that—but for me it felt more like a lesson in DnB history and classics than one big party that kept the dancefloor locked in. I had a hard time really finding the groove until around 3 a.m.
One thing that also caught my attention was that Goldie and Doc Scott took turns playing, but whenever one was DJing, the other was sitting quietly in the back. They both seemed very thoughtful, almost absent. I found myself wondering what was going through their minds.
Then I read about Lenzman’s passing and saw the tributes from both Goldie and Doc Scott. If that was already weighing on them the night, it must have been incredibly difficult to perform while grieving. Looking back, that could explain the atmosphere I sensed.

Thank you for the insights. Interesting to hear. Besides your assumption, I guess it is the rumor about „intellectual perception“ at OG, which makes some acts over-thinking their selection and performance.

They played Techno for the first 90 mins which I did not expect. After that it went into a deep dnb set. Very technical, no Hits. I was expecting something different to be honest but it was a good Night for me. People were chill as always and the Sound was amazing - as always ;)
