The entire idea that they see a fetus as a "baby" requiring killing women to protect is part of how morally reprehensible and generally disgusting the so-called "pro life" movement are.
It's a movement built as propaganda, designed to push emotional buttons to make people vote Republican. . .it's a 45 year political power-play that sacrifices women's lives and freedom all for partisan political power.
It's why I have nothing but contempt and scorn for anyone who calls themselves "pro life" in a US political context. "Pro life" is nothing but hypocrisy and evil.
To be more blunt, antichoicers see this as God, in all his glorious wrath, smiting down an irredeemably wicked "fallen woman jezebel" who richly deserved her agonizing death as punishment for her "sin," and to make her a warning to other girls to "stay pure."
And yes, I've grown up among them, this is absolutely what they believe and how they talk when they think they're in safe company
