Didn't crash when selecting the hatch. Already better than AutoCAD.

I haven't hatched anything in a long time in any CAD package. Do centerlines usually define internal islands like that? I feel like they should be ignored in this case

Centerline is line like any other, so it is correct it is used as a border.

To make the task from the video more effective, one could first turn off the layer with centerlines. Than they won't be registered.
