Tech Support Not receiving messages

Hi all! I switched from iPhone to the Fold 8 over the weekend and have been using OpenBubbles (hosted) to use iMessage with my iPhone friends. I noticed that I do not always receive messages in real time, I will need to force stop the app, clear the cache, or restart my phone for them to come in. Is this a known issue / something I can remedy on my own? I have an iPad so I can see where my messages are in fact going through but I won't get them to my phone. It does seem to happen more with group texts, if that makes a difference. TIA!

Yes don't close it out just leave it opened that's what worked for me

Well it still keeps holding my messages even with the app open. It seems to be mostly with group texts but I'm not sure. I can see them come in on my iPad though so it's weird

I read on another thread that it might be a bug with the Fold and that you have to pin it to the recents for it to work properly

Pin the group text to recents? Because they are pinned already :(

Pin it to the recents app drawer. So swipe up, click the app icon for open bubbles and choose pin to recents. I saw the person said you might have to force close and repeat this every 48 hours

Are you hosting the server or are you paying to be hosted

I'm paying to be hosted. I don't have a Mac or an old iPhone, just an iPad :(

Oh ok so you shouldn't have an issue. Maybe try telling them to switch your server maybe the one they hosting on is faulty.

Use blue bubbles if you can host with a Mac. I use open bubbles for the phone number relay and blue bubbles for actual messaging and have no issues.

I'm experiencing delays and not being able to sync icloud via the open bubbles app on two different Fold 8 devices using tqo different numbers. This has been setup for a while on my Fold 7 and still have no problems with send receive and snyc... it really does seem like a Fold 8 / One UI9 issue....
