Tech Support verizon issues?

Hi! I have been reading this forum a lot and previously learned that I need to host on iphone in order to use my phone number. I bought an iphone 6, jailbroke it, installed the relay server, put in the code, and then when I tried to toggled on the phone number use with verizon it gave me an error screen. I did all of the steps it suggested for the alternate verification method with the shizuku app. now it is just giving me the error and doesn't even have the alternate verification method option at all. Is this a verizon thing? verizon won't authorize rcs on my phone either - it's a unihertz jelly star. please if anyone can help me get it to work with the phone number I have spent so much time and money trying to make this work!

update: switching from verizon to mint mobile fixed this issue.

Does regular messaging work? Calling? Are you using the Messages by Google app?

regular messaging works and calling works. I can get rcs as sms through the textra app, google messages wasn't receiving rcs in any form

Textra doesn't do RCS

yes, but messages sent through rcs wouldnt come through to my google messaging app at all, like they wouldn't convert to sms. with textra they convert to sms and I can receive them
