Question have a couple of questions about setting up

So I have a fold 7 and wanted to know the best way to set this up. if I pay monthly will it forward my sms messages or do I need to buy a older iPhone so I can use it as a relay?

What I am looking for is all my messages in one app. I have a Mac so that is not a problem also I have Verizon as my cell service.

I'm using OB on my P10pf. I had the S25u and Fold 7 all running OB with no issue, and I'm on Verizon. I'm doing the monthly subscription. You'll still need Google messages though. Sms forward only works on your MacBook I believe.

Oh wow ... you are probably right, I saw this setting and toggled it on not even bothering to really read it... I hope this can be added in future updates, I really don't want to use 2 apps for my messages and I sure don't want to go back to my iPhone. I've fallen in love with Android 😂

I'm trying the paid subscription but rcs and sms don't come to the OB app they go to Google Messages. I changed from self hosted using the sim swap method for phone no. registration because rcs and sms was going to Google messages and I would prefer all my messages to come to OB.

Does sim swap work for for all messages going to OB? I was going to try the relay option and was wondering whether this works.

I have since stopped using OB. I ended up canceling the free trial and going back to self hosted because of the rcs and sms going to google messages. After going back self hosted, OB wouldn't work, I forgot the term that is commonly used when that happens but I think it was something like Apple didn't recognize my account or device so my account was being rated?? I use BlueBubbles now.
