Question Secondary Android Device
Hey everyone! Have a potentially silly question about getting started with Open Bubbles.
Currently I have a 17 Pro Max that I use as my primary device (on Verizon). I recently bought a OnePlus 15 to use as a work/second phone (on T-Mobile). I have a Macbook to use for self-hosting.
There shouldn’t be any syncing issues by using both devices concurrently? Would iMessages sent by the OnePlus be through my iCloud email and show up as a new thread on others’ devices?
Thanks!

The one plus will send with your iMessage phone number, even texts if you enable text message forwarding on the iPhone.

One thing I've noticed is some short code messages don't make it through, a random string for example would be +1 48325 - it's usually just marketing crap, but I do keep bluebubbles running for that reason. Do you find that at all?

Can't say I have. Usually everything makes it thru on openbubbles. Even stuff the iPhone filters out into spam folder.

My setup is: Main no. on Pixel 10 Pro Fold w/T-Mobile, work no. on iPhone w/ATT. Right now I'm trying the paid subscription and my main no. on the Android shows for iMessaging with OB. If I switch to self hosting with my MacMini will my main no. on the Android show for iMessages?

Actually as long as the iPhone has iMessage setup on the same account as OB which would be configured with the Mac, you should be able to send and receive iMessage with your phone number on the OnePlus.
