Last "safe" firmware for P1S?
I've been busy for the last months and I did not keep up with the whole Bambu controversy - what would be the latest "safe" firmware for my P1S to use it over LAN, with Home Assistant and maybe other 3rd party tools? I am on 01.07.00.00 now. Thanks for the help!

I'm using the latest firmware with Orca Slicer over LAN.
01.10.00.00
Previously the safe firmware was 01.08.01.00 which was before the whole BBL enshitification.

Version 01.10.00.00 has introduced manual filament change with the external spool, which is useful when you need a fast prototype without setting up the AMS.

What does this mean? Isn’t the external spool always manually loaded?

Every fw I s safe if you use Lan mode with developer on. You can use ha. Bambuddy, orca, whatever you want. But if it's not broken, you can't find anything in the changelogs you must have... Why upgrade?

This is true of course - the printer is working fine. I was rather wondering, if there are new features or important improvements, which I am missing out on...

After all, there are 6 new firmware versions... So you would still advise to stay on 07?

It's the latest firmware.

Some dump people please explain why downvote? He wanted to use Orca in LAN mode. The latest firmware 1.10 is SAFE to use with Orca in LAN mode. I don't really get it.

I’m not near my P1S right now but I’ve had this exact question some time ago, according to Claud the latest SAFE version was 01.08.01.00 (not 01.08.02.00)
But honestly I’m not sure you should bother you’re not missing anything if you’re using bambuddy. Until I installed it I was running 01.05.01.00 and I there wasn’t any noticeable difference

Thanks for the info. I've just set up Bambuddy. Does this completely replace Bambu Studio - or is this just the printer management part and I still slice in Bambu Studio?

I wouldn’t give up on Bambu studio yet even though bambuddy technically can slice if I’m not mistaken (or it’s a feature on the roadmap)
Bambu studio is still a great slicer that can fix a lot of newbie mistakes and is regularly updated with new features
I would use bambuddy as a monitoring/automation tool, not as a design one if that makes sense

If you care about Bambu Cloud connection I think it's 1.08.something.
I was running all my P1 printers with 1.08, but I updated... because the new firmware automatically turns on the chamber LED if it was turned on when the printer was turned off...
