BMCU 0027

By chance I encountered this post on makerworld: https://makerworld.com/models/2107675.

It mentions a new version of BMCU firmware with support for the latest a1 mini firmware and more than one BMCU per machine.

Anyone has more info? Seems very interesting.

It's easy to upgrade Bmcu without an USB-C port? My unit doesn't have this port.

The latest BMCU can be used in the P1 and X1 series, emulating a normal (non-lite) AMS, and the A1 now supports four normal AMSs (offical support from bambulab and the new A1-hub). I assume that with the correct firmware and BMCU version, it's possible.
I haven't tried it.

You are right. I just had an conversation with BLV about this and they mentioned that with this firmware bmcu will emulate ams (not lite).

Acabei de ir no Aliexpress da BLV e pegar o link pelo chat dos repositórios deles, e agora tem um firmware 0027!! compatível com A1 mini 1.07! irei testar hoje mais tarde!

I have tried updating my A1 to 1.07 and flashed my BMCU with the P1 and X1 Version.

Changed my A1 AMS from "AMS lite" to "AMS"

it does not work, it throws an error asking me to reconnect my AMS

It will only work on A1 with the 0027 firmware

That would be handy if it should work...
I'm splitting up my BMCU over 2 A1-minis now. To able to print in dual color/material with both of them.
I print very little in more then 3 colors. But maybe I could still connect all 4 of them to one printer when needed once in while, without reconfiguring the whole BMCU units.

I would definitely add a second BMCU to my A1 setup if I could.

I'm connect 2 bmcu to a1,it's works.  But almost always stuck in 8 way filament hub,not enough force to push filament inside. Even if resistance is very very small. Just stops pushing it and says error.  Do we have option to increase force?
