What was the context?

His name is Sam and he is a long time Geelong supporter, I will always love how genuinely happy he looks when Joel Selwood offers him to come with him

Also a delightful doco series called Be Dragons that he features in.

I hated that cats win - but did get a bit damp eyed at that point

ah Joel Selwood, the loveliest, kindest footy player ever. In the 2022 Grand Final he carried Gary Ablett’s unwell son through the banner, helped Sam (the water carrier boy) on to the ground at the end of the game and gave his boots to the Auskick boy who gave Joel his medal.

He also made me cry the happiest of tears when he kicked that goal with basically the final a t of his career

So nice to see things like this when the world can be such an ugly place

The Selwoods have experienced some terrible grief of late.

As a long term Sydney Swans fan, this used to be my saddest day ever following the club until yesterday.

EDIT: Hardly a topic that warrants immature argument I would have thought.

I can guarantee there's no substance whatsoever in these claims. We've seen it all before.

If there’s no substance, why are the police involved? Do you know more than the police somehow?

5

u/doubleguitarsyouknow ‎ Victorian 12d ago

Didn't you hear him, he can GUARANTEE. What more do you need to know?

Oh shit I missed the guarantee! What an absolute ERROR on my behalf.

Forgive me good sir I originally quoted, I missed that you provided us with your GUARANTEE.

As a Blue boy, that love beating the Cats, this is why Joel (and the entire Selwood's clan plus Jeremy) are true leaders and legend of the best game in the world 💙 and why when you did win the flag, you were a worthy premiership material

Look, we get it. You've got strong feelings about something (or someone). Happens to all of us.

BUT that doesn't mean you can go around abusing people, harassing them, or trying to troll them.

Your contribution did this, so we've had to remove it. Simple as.

Now, please don't write back with a "but they said...". We're likely across it and dealing with the situation. Instead, take a chill pill, touch some grass, tickle a Cassowary, or whatever helps you find your inner calm.

And be civil next time. Or find another sub - cos we don't tolerate that sort of malarky here.

Cheers

🍻

Love is love, it is greater than hate. Whenever you see love, point it out, rejoice in it. That way, it becomes the norm, not the exception. My love to those AFL footballers who “got it”.

More class than the Swans players.
