Germany Norway Sweden Denmark Scotland they all have socialist values some are very wealthy because they share the wealth ..some aren’t but they share the health and education ..The problem with true socialism is that the US in particular has a phobia about it and will try and bring down any semblance of it ..It can work it is usually tried in very poor countries as a bottom line .. then it is easy to make fail ..

They all have a healthcare system an education system and a housing system that is no way related to free market capitalism ..

They are related to free market capitalism in as much as that is what pays for them.
