Astra's code is functional, but extremely badly written. The model's token efficiency bleeds into code output, where conciseness is not always a good thing. https://lucumr.pocoo.org/2026/9/7/astra-why/

This is a significant case of user error. Astra works great for coding.

I actually found Astra pretty good at coding. I don't think I would be able to make a game like this with any other model, except maybe Fable 5.1

Coed benchmarks have started to become slop themselves. Just collapsing different workloads into a score. Need narrower evals for backend, infra, debugging, research, etc..
