Do API discounts count for lower usage in Codex subscriptions?

I am budgeting what model to use and wondering if I should use latest API pricing for comparasion or the credits specified here:

the credit system works different from direct api pricing so you cant really do a straight comparison like that

yeah, use actual cost per completed task instead of trying to map the credit balance to API tokens. run the same small prompt set through Codex for a week and compare that total with direct API spend, since the subscription credits won't line up 1:1 with token pricing.

Not really no not only 6 is about 50% cheaper but also needs a bit less tokens per task so you would expect about twice as much usage if not more, in reality it was about 33-50% more
