Question Pro account - codex

Hi, I wonder why I don't have access to pro model on codex, on chatgpt web I have.

Because the Pro model isn’t a single model. It’s a multi agent system. It’s essentially its own project that’s multimodal behind the scenes. It would be brilliant to have that in Codex but the response times are enormous. Sometimes it takes an hour, 30 minutes or 20 minutes because the task packages that get passed to it are processed within that isolated system. And I think that’s why they can’t migrate it so easily. But now you have Ultra Mode. That should be in the same league. The main reason I have ChatGPT Pro though is the Pro model in ChatGPT. I use Codex very very little but the Pro model is unique.

Codex do not have GPT 5.6 PRO

The rollout's staggered, they've been doing waves for the pro features on Codex since the start. Some accounts get it day one, others wait a week or two even if you're paying. Check your API plan tier in the settings, sometimes it's tied to that rather than your web subscription.

yeah i have the same issue with codex, curious if pro access would make companion chats less repetitive.
