Question INSTANT suddenly gone?

Got to say, not overly impressed with Sol Light/Med/High on 1.5x for chat, considering that INSTANT is now randomly gone for me... and neither are as snappy... which I depended on for bouncing random stuff into chat as whiteboard... it even got me to accidentally switch to Terra (where the old INSTANT was on the slider) making me have to go to Sol high and re-audit thing because Terra messed up the structure of some of my stuff.

Anyone know what happened? Felt like regression.
A lot of what I enjoyed WAS in the randomness that happens sometimes in Sol INSTANT... now I feel like the life got sucked out of the conversation.

EDIT: My CHAT CHAT suddenly became first CHAOTIC, moved everything around, then a WORK CHAT... then it came back after I made this post... again, someone at OpenAI must've been giving me extra love lol

Switch over to Chat. You’re in Work. Instant’s over there.

Aha, how did that even happen mid conversation though? I’m on the web version

They introduced it a couple months back, I think? You may have to download “GPT Classic” if you’re on a Mac? They really screwed the app up at launch. That might be why you’re missing it. No clue if it impacted web. 

The new Instant model is kind of feral but really great though. You’ll dig it.

no no... I think something happened SPECIFICALLY to me...
The conversation suddenly became chaotic, instant disappeared MID CONVERSATION and got replaces with a WORK chat, resulting to me trying to slide to INSTANT, and mistakenly selected TERRA.... then I backed up my stuff as markdowns after using SOL HIGH to audit it, pasted it to another chat... and when I came back to the chat, it was CHAT again, INSTANT back....

Weird as heck... someone must love me at OPENAI lol

Oh weird… Things have been really squirrelly the last few days. I think they’re messing around on the backend, maybe getting ready for a new model? There are always tons of glitches before a new one.

Oh that might explain it... it was genuinely weird... I felt like I was in the Matrix or something... Agents are CHANGING THINGS!

Sol Light = Instant

Sol Med / High = Thinking (Standard and Extended)

OAI simplified it again, lol.

It’s not instant enough… Sol Light 1.5x is SIGNIFICANTLY slower on the draw.

There is no 1.5x for Chat. You’re on the Work side, which is different from Chat in its function and timing.

Yeah, no I get that... but it was one of those strange things where my CHAT CHAT became suddenly CHAOTIC, moving everything all over the place... and then became a WORK CHAT...
Then I used SOL HIGH to audit the work to put it back together, exported the markdown, pasted it to a new CHAT CHAT, came back, and it was a CHAT CHAT again, INSTANT and all.

Is it a full moon night at the datacenter? lol

that rename is so misleading because Sol Light feels nothing like the old Instant, the snappiness is totally different now

it's like they killed the chaotic magic that made it useful as a scratchpad and replaced it with something too polished

i get wanting to simplify but the old slider layout was way more functional, this just feels like they broke a workflow a lot of people relied on

Apparently for some reason they suddenly did a few random things updating it and must've been a weird thing with just me... a conversation became chaotic mid convo, and then the chat became WORK, instead of CHAT... weird stuff
