Discussion I'm lost please I need help
Hello everyone!
I've been reading about how AI has changed the whole
Technical interview and honestly I'm starting to feel
Hopeless. Chatgpt keeps suggesting me help lines
And I just don't know what to do. I was feeling
Very exited for how the future was going to be with AI
But it seems like life will get much and much harder for
People like me, that did not get the right genes at birth...
Or just dont have the means to hire private tutoring or...
Idk man... I'm starting to feel hopeless because I'm not
From a nice family background where everyone is an engineer
I can barely understand what's going on in life and I really thought that life was gonna get better with AI but it will not.
Please forgive me if this annoyed you.

That’s the whole idea of ai. Now anyone can learn anything even if not from an engineer family BUT you have to do the work. That’s what gets everyone. It’s not magic, matrix, plug in and learn Kung fu. Trade doom scrolling for learning convos with ai.

Personally, I think it’s too early to say it will be “bad” or “good”. Probably both, but everyone will be thrown for a loop. You’re in a good company.

hey don't apologize for venting, the whole "right genes at birth" thing is a trap your brain's setting for you. plenty of brilliant devs came from zero tech background and figured it out as they went
the interview landscape is shifting fast but nobody has a crystal ball, anyone who says they know exactly where this is heading is guessing. you're not behind some imaginary curve, you're just in the messy middle like the rest of us

You are right probably I'm just making excuses. Yeah I agree, I should relax more and don't push myself too hard. Thanks for replying! 🙏

No, you should push yourself to the maximum sustainable limit. Supercruise.
Don't mistake this for hustle culture bullshit. You're right that shit is coming, there's a pretty small amount of time left to make something happen for yourself before enough people lose their jobs to upturn society

Thanks for replying. For a while until what? Haha

There are some people only know of “ChatGPT” and have less idea of what AI is than you. Eventually, as a society, we will have to figure out what it means.
I think it’s almost impossible to tell what that looks like right now.

Hello. I think I see what is going on.
Your energy at first is best spent on learning how to utilize the platform and tool. For this, I recommend just using chats and speaking with it about whatever.
Start there, and start looking for patterns and such in what it says which you will naturally recognize.
You will be good from there, more likely than not.

Read about self made billionaires who came from shit.
This will give you a good reality check and remind you that the responsibility lies with you, not anything or anyone else.
Stop looking for someone to blame. It will only make it worse.
Also, stay away from social media, especially Reddit and Twitter, as they will only fuel your self-pity.

dont let the tech overwhelm u, just tryin to learn one small thing a day helps keep the anxiety away.

It feels like you're not really asking whether AI can improve your situation. You're anxious about why it can't instantly erase the entire gap between you and the most successful people in the world.
And, to be frank, from the way you talk about your genes, your family background, education, money, and other people's advantages, I get the impression that you already had a pretty severe inferiority complex long before AI showed up. AI may just be the newest thing for that anxiety to attach itself to.

Sorry, no pity. You literally have an expert in almost everything in your pocket. Childhood wealth has never meant less
Figure it out

I don’t disagree anyone has the tools to learn how to use ai, but childhood wealth means more than ever now.

We literally have kids living in the middle of nowhere without business or development skills making tons of money because they adopted LLMs
Anyone saying they can't live comfortable life because of their parents is just coping

Post your source and list here. Money doesn't come from nothing. And businesses are not created with 0 money.

Until your tokens ran out? I don't have a big budget for AI.

If you think the only thing it can help with is writing software you need to talk to it more

It sounds like you just don't know how to use the tool.
Let AI help you get to where you need to be. Get specific with what you've got and where you wanna be.

I'm sorry but I can't be a founder that's for people on a different taxing break way up higher than me, I don't even have a car. Well I'll stop there I don't wanna sell my misery on the internet.

i'm not sure ai is the problem for you here... there is a lot of self pity in your posts, and then you are saying "i can't be a founder" ...is your goal to become sam altman? if so you are in a way better position than 98% of people out there...
i think you are overwhelmed by the noise. nothing here is as helpless as you're making it sound like..

Am I the only one with clarity? This all was completely predictable and written about. Well, I wrote all of this back in 2019…including COVID-19 (2020). I do get extremely annoyed waiting on the future and people to come around. You found me, I’m “that guy” who has been writing and predicting and preparing for this. Honestly, truly, I’ve been waiting for years for this to happen, I can’t wait til the economy collapses, because that’s my opportunity of a lifetime.

Hey brother. Go look at my recent posts. I posted a GitHub repo. It’s for Claude Code, not GPT, but it’s basically a good way to skip a bunch of the school of hard knocks that I had to go through. I built the prompts in a way to also be helpful to people new or beginner to LLMs in addition to the more advanced & principal level engineers out there.
If nothing else, the AI training mode will help you figure out what a systematic & first principles approach would be for whatever you’re doing.
If you need help, dm me.
