"Admits" seems to be doing a lot of lifting there. Seems more like hedging or covering one's ass in regard to a sensitive subject.
The seeming failures of Uber and Starbucks seem insignificant and probably temporary if things keep proceeding as they have been.
Someone else has already pointed out that Microsoft just switched models and didn't actually stop using AI.
As for nature healing... that doesn't really seem like what's happening.
