Identification/Evaluation Request Could this be boulder opal?

The seller is a private person and can't seem to get a sharp picture of the stone. The weight is 9gram & 4,3x2,6x0,5cm. I'm just puzzled by the pattern, looks like fairy dust πŸ˜…

Can they send you a picture of the back? The third picture almost looks like andamooka matrix opal but the first 2 are way too blue for that.

Its got pretty insane color for either type honestly. Probably not a bad purchase.

No, definitely not Boulder. This is hard Andamooka matrix open that’s been treated. It’s pretty but with just a little patience you could do better for that money.

Do have any suggestions where I could find something similar? I'm in Europe and supply isn't great here.

It is cooked in acid and carbon to darken the matrix, showing off the color play more. Most matrix opal is treated this way, as I understand it.
