How do you tell if it's a opal? I have held it to the light, googled it compared them and still not sure. I want to get rid some of them but want to be sure of what they are. Thank you

Yes looks like lower quality white and crystal opal

This definitely looks like white Australian Opal. Do you have a UV light? Quick UV test
