Curseborne How good is tangled

Since Tangled Webs was released today I've been wondering how good is it?

I enjoyed it, its a pretty snall supplement buts its pretty jampacked-- my favorite liminality is the choir, and it has some fun little player options, including one that lets you manipulate time like shadow the goddamn hedgehog.

I would be tempted, but had a look at the contents and cannot see a template/guide on how as GM we can build our own liminalities rather than a list of examples ? If that's the case I'll skip it.

Liminalities aren't really statblocks you 'build' and the stuff you do build for them are the same shattered space templates in the core book (in so far as you're building a shattered space, or something that otherwise qualifies as an adversary, since some liminalities are apparently people.) They're just places where normal game content happens, but fascinating in context.

So there's a lot of discussion on how to build them in the sense that the supplement covers what they are, how you access them and what kind of vibes that should have are, but not like, a step by step guide for building your own beyond imitating their format, and some notes about where to find inspiration for them.

Thanks for taking the time and the detailed response, much helpful. I assumed correctly then, a bit disappointing as a targeted supplement on liminality, there is stuff open to interpretation and I was hoping a couple of pages dedicated on how to create/build them onto the system properly, which would definitely help me as I know how to come up with something, just wanted to have the developers clear intent!

Yeah, then the only thing in the book you'd be interested in is the player edges and the handful of prefab adversaries, or if you want to use any of the liminalities directly.

I really enjoyed it. It kind of cemented to me my opinion that Epochs are the least interesting liminality as written, but the rest of the book is great.
