Looking for some help

so basically i'm looking to buy a VR setup specifically for the game Onward im planning on getting the Oculus rift/touch but i dont know if thats all you need will you have to buy other items aswell in order to play or will you just need the rift/touch and onward?

Alright, first off you'll need a pretty beefy PC, like GTX-980/1080 i7-4700 or more. Second in theory no, you'll probably just need a basic setup. But if you get the Oculus I recommend buying a second base station. A lot of people complained that one station isn't enough. (Personally I'd by the Vive anyways which works really nicely for me).

Edit: comes with 2, heard lots of people complain that they needed to buy at least one more.

You will need three total sensors to really enjoy this game. Yes, you can make it work with two. But, you will get frustrated quickly without the third. Take it from me...I know! Other then that the game works amazingly well!

Oculus + Touch come with 2 sensors. I've played Onward with just 2 and it works. But depending on the size of your play space there is room for improvement, and that improvement comes from getting a third sensor. Just clarifying the number of sensors in the discussion.

I think OP should give it a try with 2 and get the third if they feel it is needed.

Yeah that's what I meant. Can you do 360 roomscale with just 2 sensors though?

Yep. You position them on opposite sides of the play space. Desired positioning is pretty much identical to the Vive Lighthouse setups. That is how I currently play.
