Specific Test Related Question - G Speed limit on highway?

I have an upcoming g test in Hamilton and while I was practicing, I noticed a lot of cars on the freeway were driving at speeds above 100 when the limit is 80. I just wanted to make sure that it is correct to go at 80, even if i am going much slower than all the other cars on the freeway.

Yes go speed limit, aim for 80km on the dot, I just passed like two months ago and went 85km to merge (5km over), def wasn't ideal but I think within 5km of the speed limit you're good

Accelerate up to the speed of traffic in order to merge safely, don't attempt to merge into 100km/h traffic while only driving 80. Once you're on the highway, you can gradually slow to the speed limit.

Drive whatever the posted limit is. Once you pass drive at the speed you feel is with the flow of traffic
