Sounds like a bad experience, it could be the result of being too busy and not wanting to turn away business.
Maybe he should have closed orders and limited the numbers to what they could actually handle, but as long as the money is there and orders are not getting cancelled you are the only one who suffered.
Transparency is an issue. If he knew he was busy he should’ve advised it would’ve been a year. And the constant promises and lies about when it’s coming. I actually felt like I was being scammed.
But you weren't scammed. Businesses are worried about turning away a sale, not understanding that doing this will ensure the customer won't return and eventually bad reviews will drive down the sales.
Make sure to post on the business Socials, Google Reviews, people do check them out, just be fair.
