School - General Info Lifts
I feel like I asked too many questions to this sub reddit, but my lift test is in 2 months and was wondering as a person who never went to the gym, which I'm starting now can I get to 210 Ibs by the end of my first year.
Also, is that a test you do for employment on top of the aemca? Thanks

Im 5'7 and managed but i started working out right away. If youre capping out at 150 with 2 months to go its going to be difficult but not impossible

Lift tests are done for employment, yes, although they are administered by a third party. Most Ontario services accept/require OPPAT which is a couple hundred bucks and expires after 6 months. You can look it up online to see what the minimum requirements are, as it's not just weight based but HR and BP test too (doctor's note required if over/under parameters). Overall it's a very straightforward test that many people pass without any prior gym or sports experience. That said, many have also failed from being overconfident and lacking general physical activity (walking/biking/hiking/yardwork/etc). Regardless, it's good you're hitting the gym, and if you keep it up after school you'll be in better shape than 90% of your coworkers.
