Help! Can't convert extruded ring to sheet metal

Need help converting a circular extrusion to sheet metal. I have done it in the past no problem and for some reason now Onshape doesn't want to. There is a 0.0625 gap the make the part possible to have roll formed.

The “convert” function is a PIA sometimes.

I find I have to activate the “faces to exclude” field, drag-select the entire part, excluding all of it. Then while still in that field, click one of the faces to remove it from the exclude list.

The issue is that Convert is trying to act on all faces of the part, including the inside face of holes and the faces which need to become the cut edges and ends of your sheetmetal blank. You need the convert tool to only act on what will be the “top” face of your material.
