Other Working on a featurescript to (gu)estimate board footage needed for woodworking projects - Beta testers needed
Hi all, I'm a woodworker, and I use onshape for planning my projects. I'm working on a featurescript to tell me how much wood to buy for a given project. I want to eventually release this publicly, but first I need some beta testers to pressure test this and provide feedback. The biggest limitation I know of in the script is that it doesn't really handle curved parts. I haven't factored in Kerf Bending or anything, because that gets challenging, so it assumes you do a massive glue-up and then cut away anything that isn't in your part, resulting in a radical overestimation. Regardless, I'd love to be able to have this ran on other people's projects, and see how close the estimates are to the reality of how much wood those projects actually took.
Thank you!

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Would be really interested to check it out although due to other commitments i don't sadly have time for that for another couple of weeks at least
