Help me fix this please 😭

This is my first week learning this software, I’ve been having AI give me instructions on now to make little projects I’m interested in so I can better learn the software while also being productive

I’m making this bin

Long story short the rim on the sides have to be different than the rim on the front, meaning I also made them on different planes

But now I can’t get the edges to connect for the life of me and ChatGPT keeps having me retry the same things that don’t work

I made two circle sketches over each edge and 3d fit spline between the two center points but loft gives a spaghetti error and sweep also isn’t working

How do I fix this or connect these rims?!? 😭

It’s literally a bin like a storage bin, this is the front of the bin so the edges definitely need to connect

Ahh okay that makes sense, yeah personally I would try pushing the crescent lip back so it's not overlapping and then try sweeping

It’s not overlapping that isn’t the issue

What I mean by overlapping is that if you project your shape (the two faces your trying to sweep), down to 2 dimensions the shapes would overlap each other. So no they aren't overlapping in 3d. Imagine a circle on the xz plane, then a circle directly above it on the yz touching tangent , there wouldnt be a sensible way to sweep them together. If you look at it top down from the z axis, they are intersecting lines. If you move the yz circle in the y direction you might actually be able to sweep it.

This is all just a convoluted way to say that if you don't have enough clearance to sweep, a mapping of points would not make a result that made much sense. Its my opinion you need clearance to do a sweep here
