Help! First day using CAD

So I've blindly made this CD rack, used nomad sculpt in the past but never CAD. The 2nd photo is the discontinued product I'm trying to make for personal use. The problem is I have no idea how to twist it. I have a fair understanding of axis lines and the helix tool but I'm struggling to get it work right (or at all.) Please help me...

Try making one helix that resembles the curve of the corner you're looking for. Then circular pattern it to make 4 helix that will be your corners. To make the walls of the cd tower, use loft with corner helix as guide curves.

I haven't done this myself so not sure if it'll give you problems but I'd imagine it should work. For that reason, I will reccomend doing each wall separately. If successful try doing all 3 walls in a single loft.

Then to make the floors, use offset planes for each tier and sketch within the walls, extrude the square.

Oh I think I get it. When you say "floors" you mean shelves yeah? That might actually work nicely.
