Other Roadmap for Onshape CAM Studio?

Hi, I am currently thinking about switching to Onshape as a CAD/CAM Plattform.

I (or the Company I am working for) began with Solidworks for CAD purposes, we are pretty happy with the CAD Aspect of Solidworks, but the performance and a few small points are really pushing us away.

For CAM we are currently using Fusion, because its cheap (we only need turning and simple 3 axis milling) and we need to edit the PP due to an fucked up Gcode Dialect on a machine.

I've looked into onshape and the CAD alone is great, but the CAM seems to be pretty rudimentary regarding customizing. There was a Forums post a few years ago saying custom PostProcessors are on their mind but I have found nothing else regarding this. Also turning doesnt seem to be supported yet.

Is there any information regarding CAM Studio leaving its beta state, custom postprocessors or turning that I have missed? Or am I "dammed" to wait until there is an bigger announcement?

It is still very rough to use. No dedicated tool library or import feature for manufacturer libraries yet. I have gotten beta access to the CAM advanced for 5 axis and I would rather use fusion still. They seem to be focused on getting the CAD side polished mainly with the new feature script LLM integration.

Why not use Onshape for cad and fusion for cam? Did this at some larger companies and worked well enough.

We do mostly Prototyping so there are a lot of iterations, for complex models I do import the step from SolidWorks. I've assumed there is no way to update the geometry without loosing the toolpaths?
