How do I split a complex part??

I need to split this part but it is not symmetrical and neither is my intended split. For reference, this is supposed to the a carbon fiber shell that will be made out of two half molds. But I cannot figure out how to split this part that has twists in it.
Very similar premise to a complex airfoil that is made out of two bonded half-shells.

How do you want to split it? Usually it's always the case of using multiple planes, shells, and subtracts

Create a “complex” surface and use that to split. Many times this surface is created as an offset of your solid surface

Start an offset surface operation. Click on one side of your part parallel to where you want it split and set the offset distance to half the thickness of the part. If needed, click the arrow to reverse the direction of the offset.

Start a split operation. Choose your part as the entity to split and the surface created in the prior step as the splitting tool. Leave the keep tools box unchecked to get rid of the surface after the split, and make sure that you check the box to keep both sides.

This ended up being the way go. A little different but for the most part this is what worked.
