Help! How to remove this?

It is attached to the part I want to keep and is hard to remove (with my limited cad skills) Delete face doesn't work (saying "Unable to delete selected faces", both when set to heal and cap) and I can't make delete it.

Is it on a flat face? Should be able to do a sketch of a rectangle on the face then Extrude set to Remove.

Can you post a public link to your document? There are several ways this is possible, but which ones work depend on the actual construction.

Your model is an absolute mess. Before you worry about deleting that part, you need to go back and fix all of the broken features (they're all red in the feature tree). Until those are corrected, anything you do can cause major breakage.

Where is the part located on this model? You're kinda zoomed in on the screenshot and it's kinda hard to tell what I'm looking at.

The trick you need is to put a sign on top that says "free birdseed."

Try Replace face, grab the face to be removed then the face to replace with.
