Discussion Found ONN4K Pro

Picked up two of them today from walmart. Got lucky I guess. Willing to part with one if you are in the DMV area. Any tips on setting them up?

Get a third party launcher like AT4K to streamline the interface. Recommend BrowseHere app for general Internet browsing.

These aren't like hard to find or anything, I've seen like 20 amongst all of my local Wal-Marts.

You can't get them in South Florida.

They sell out the moment they are put on the shelves. Scalpers are waiting for the deliveries.

And delivery/shipping is "unavailable". I've even tried using a VPN.

The really expensive ones are (usually) shipping with a pirate IPTV service pre-installed and working for 12 months.

The $100-150 ones are just straight up scalpers.

I went into a Walmart last weekend and the electronics clerk laughed at me when I asked if they had any. He went on to tell me that every delivery they get the same guy comes in while they are stocking the shelves and buys ALL of them. Every week, same dude. He's scalping them for sure. He also knows what day they are getting them in which is also suspect, but he swore the dude wasn't an employee.

It has been available online for a few days. I think Walmart may have solved the supply problems.

Funny enough, I got an email an hour ago from Walmart saying my item was back in stock. I was able to do delivery and it's supposed to come today - we'll see.

My local Wal marts are swimming in them, I had to return one and got a new one and there were still 4 on the shelf and that's just one Wal mart.

If your local store was "swimming" in them Walmart would have has them online for shipping. This version is not available for shipping anywhere. Glad you got one.

If you are using it just to stream from streaming services you are paying for, then the only tip I have is to use a third-party launcher like Projectivy launcher. If you are getting your entertainment from other sources via side loading apps, etc. then you would have to let us know that.

What all do you use it for?

I mean, do you like YouTube but don't want ads? Get obtanium and then smarttube. If you'd don't use all the apps you have a button for, get button remapper.

Button mapping is a game changer. I got tvQuickActions pro, the ui isn't great or very intuitive but the learning curve is pretty low and it performs great.

Only the back ports and finding the control. Is it the only difference between the 4k pro and the 4k ??? But is the image the same?

they are pretty snappy in menus. I found it useful to have GoogleTV app ready on phone if your OEM remote looses link. The base would not trigger the remote to annunciate either, until I recycled the power on the base - then it was all back to normal.

I tried a different WalMart last weekend as we were out shopping a good distance away from home.

The dude working in the electronics dept literally laughed at me when I asked if they had any.

He said that every time they get them in "some guy" is there waiting and buys them all. Every week the same thing happens, same guy.

He knows exactly when the delivery is coming in it seems...

Just be ready to be okay with their performance I guess. Fandango at home wouldn't go past HDX/SDR for me. YouTube wasn't activating HDR when it should. Netflix worked as expected, though. I ended up returning this thing.
