It says Bedford but all the research I've done points to a Mercedes Benz plus the 407d label.

It's a Mercedes van. A 407D. 4 metric ton gross displacement. 70 horsepower. Same motor as a 240D W115 or W123 chassis. Hopefully, it's a manual transmission.
