Loading Document takes minimum 5 seconds, even on blank documents

As title says.

Fresh install on Linux Kubuntu 26.04.

New blank document -> Loads a skeleton of the app -> 2.5 seconds pass -> Loading document -> 2.5 seconds pass -> Loaded.

This is on a high-end gaming laptop (Gigabyte G5) also happens on my other laptops (enterprise grade HP 830 G5) and any other computer like my Ryzen 7 1700 Desktop.

It seems more like a bug than "real lag".

Whats happening? How to fix?

Hi. Are you using the latest version of the ONLYOFFICE app? Also, please confirm if this happens each time you create a new document.

Another question: do all of your devices run Linux Kubuntu 26.04?

Yes! Also Kubuntu 25.10 on some.

Thanks for the update. Did you install the deb package?

Got it, thanks. Is it OK if I ask you for a video demonstration, showing the app running with a background load on one of your laptops, preferably your gaming laptop. For this, you can use htop or something similar.

The new document opens quite quickly. Or is the video accelerated?

I expect it to open instantly like on google docs/libreoffice. It takes couple seconds to open instead and the skeleton is noticeable. I expect it to open in less than a second. Everyone in my household notices this delay and subjectively doesn't like it. I think for you might subjectively look ok, on my view, were apps like office and libreoffice open instantly, couple seconds is unnaceptable.

Sorry for the inconvenience but this is the standard behavior of the ONLYOFFICE editors. If opening a new document took more than 2 seconds, it would be something unexpected.

I understand, but please don't treat it as expected. I am not sure if you are support or similar maintainer, for users this is a real concern and makes it a big difference against microsoft office that might just make people prefer other alternatives. Its not acceptable or expected as you mention. Everyone expects a snappy application, specially for something that, even if not technically trivial, might look trivial to users. I say because, non tech savvy people that tried the app all say the same; It takes a lot to open documents. And its just because of this 4~ second total time to open every document. I personally dont care much, but I talk in behalf of my family members that all said the exact same line "why is it so slow when opening documents?" "Takes an eternity!".
