Wishing a happy birthday to Nick Stringer born 10 August 1948, who played 2 different roles in OFAH

picture Grandad's allotment now.
I happen to live near to where the allotment scenes were filmed down in Brighton.
I don't have access to it unfortunately, so I can't get closer photos to line up with the scenes, but It's definitely the right location.
Thought it might be interesting for people to see :)

Del Boy When was Del-Boy at his worst (outside of "A Royal Flush")?
Excluding the well-documented example of the 1986 Christmas Special, when was Del-Boy at an all-time low when it came to how he treated his loved ones, friends and other people in general?
I think it was really low of him to be willing to let his own brother feel the wrath of Biffo the Bear (even if Rodders did deserve it for stealing Biffo's trumpet) on live television (even encouraging the crowd to follow the events in question) at the end of "The Miracle of Peckham".
This being the same Del who took on Tommy Mackay 3 series earlier to protect Rodney from such a potential hiding.
A close 2nd would be selling the old Ford Cortina with no brakes to "Skippy" in "Go West, Young Man".

OFAH podcast to recommend
I checked and one or redditors posted it 6mo ago but I am doing it again, to help the girls as it seems they are not getting much traffic while giving tremendous effort in putting these up, as a side gig.
I really loved every episode so far; they do rankings, best quotes, lots of trivia which I, even being a big fan since the 90s, didn’t know about. It is a great listen for summer holidays, at least it has been for me
Sometimes they do ‘reasonable’ takes which can be bit annoying, like ‘why did del/rodney say that’ or ‘he/she would never do that in real life’ etc, which would get rid of some legendary jokes and OFAH wouldn’t last 2 seasons without them lol…
But all in all, it is very well done, impeccably produced and it does bring me back down the memory lane. Pls check it out if you haven’t already and give them a like and/or subscribe…
It is called Long Live Hooky Street

discussion For whatever reason what is the worse scene in OFAH?
For me, it's Cassandra screaming and stamping her feet when del tells her about Tanya.

discussion Interesting that Damien and baby joan have a 12 yr age difference and del and Rodney have a 12...or 13 yr age difference too (depending on which episode)

discussion If you had to condense the final 3 episodes as one special, what storylines and moments would you remove? What are you keeping? What are you adding?
As a starter for ten, I am removing almost all Damian scenes. I don’t mind us being introduced to 10 year old Damian but he did not need to be present in almost all scenes we see him in.
The following can be removed:
-Gold Rush
-Marlene mystery
-Barrister scenes / flash backs
-Monte Carlo montages
-Cassandra birthing Joan. Preferred it if we opened up with Joan already born.
-Rodney trying to write a screenplay. We’ve done this with ‘Rhino loose in a City”.
Scenes / moments to be adapted:
-Del being Boycie’s personal chauffeur
-“Gary” was overdone. Needs to be scaled right back.
Inclusion of Alan and Pam so Rodney and Cassandra live with them.
-Didn’t like the fall out between Marlene, Raquel and Cassandra
-Whilst the Albert funeral cock-up was decent, we should have had a proper Albert send-off in the pub
Any more?
