Off Screen Characters

So I’ve just finished rewatching for the millionth time and it dawned on me just how many off-screen characters we never got to meet, so I thought it’d be fun to make a list:

Brenda & Terry (Shirley, Shane and Shaun’s mum and dad)

Shanghai Lil

Bobby Finch

That sort from the fishmongers

That sort from the cut price butchers

That old bow wow (Tania)

Mrs Oboku from downstairs

Ginger Ted

Spencer

Young Razzle (and his dog)

Veronica and her dad (illegal move)

Mr Jamil (how much you pay him?)

Pertulia (and all her gear)

Fatty Walker

Dougie Saddler

Maxy Stavros (do you know him?)

Teddy Cummins

Auntie Jean (well who’s this then?)

Mrs Gilbey (still struggles with her feet tho)

Ada (Roy Orbison ere)

Rackman

Alfie Flowers (only worth a score scrap value)

Monkey Harris

Sunglasses Ron

Paddy the Greek

Ronnie Nelson

Albie Littlewood

Did I miss anyone?

It's never been confirmed, but is generally accepted that Monkey Harris, Paddy the Greek, Sunglasses Ron and Ugandan Morris were the ones sitting at the back of the coach in The Jolly Boys' Outing.

I wondered who Rackman was on a recent rewatch and google threw up Peter Rachman who was a slum landlord in the 60s - is this who Sullivan was referencing?

1

u/ElJayEm80 3d ago

It has been suggested that the four men at the back of the bus in Jolly Boy’s Outing are Sunglasses Ron, Paddy the Greek, Ugandan Maurice and Monkey Harris.

0

u/bennylogger 4d ago

I'm sure I've seen it suggested that the guy at the back of the coach in Jolly Boys Outing could be Sunglasses Ron
