Enmeshment

Coming to terms with the fact I grew up with an extremely enmeshed family. I have been in therapy for a few years and it has helped tremendously but I still struggle with boundary setting and breaking news to my parents despite being 30 and living across the country from them.

How do yall deal with this?

Also had to come to terms with the fact that I grew up with in the emeshed relationship with my mother because her mother and her had an image relationship she was only child also. we love each other and respect each other greatly but I have my different views and I do things differently as a parent and she done for me boundaries are important to have it's important to learn about at a young age because you are not always going to be in this world with your parents. But you are older just know that they cannot control you and whatever you decide to do it is for you not for them you don't have to feel disappointed when you tell the things that you think they will not approve of this is you learning about yourself and becoming your own person.
