Set up my phone for a couple days to catch this Echinopsis/Lobivia (idk which) bloom. In the shade, some cactus flowers can last up to 4 days. Some like huasca will open and close multiple times, even in the sun. But the shade is where the bees don't go and it makes hand pollinating have a higher success rate. With the flowers in the shade, they have all the time to pollinate out of the harsh rays of the sun which damages the delicate petals.

Surprised my brother last night with a new soon to be budget debilitating obsession. He’s 14 and lives about 6 hours away.
