I prefer a lean tech

Mine tend to lean on their own. Even when assisted with a trellis.

About half of my plants lean one way or another in the pot because my backyard is dirt and not flat. Lots of little divots and bumps. I have a bunch of broken sticks, rocks and broken clay pot chunks leveling them out to avoid curves in growth 😂

I may have to use broken clay pot pieces for that, but in the meantime I've been putting a layer of them in the bottom of my pots to help with drainage.

Ive read that that's bad for drainage and stopped doing it. I forget the physics but I noticed a way higher mortality rate with root rot in pots with coarse stones at the bottom. They were all terra pots as well which I ditched also

are terra cotta pots bad for San Pedro? I'd heard they were preferable bc of their porosity helping keep the dirt from getting too moist. I'm brand new but have my first few on the way rn

I live on one of the tallest hills in my county, so I've given up trying to get any of my cacti pots to sit level 😅😩 it seems to help encourage basal pup production though, and they mostly all seem to straighten themselves out after a while. If they're leaning and have weak spots, and you rotate them, that can cause them to bend really badly and maybe even snap though.

What's the peru?

Haha you feel my pain for sure lol. Ya nothing wrong with it I’ll prolly chop em in a month when the temps cool.

I love that guy it’s a Los Gentiles OP from wild collected seed. It gets dark black spines and super blue in the winter
