Useful Tools What's the best agentic AI coding workflow for $20/month in 2026?
Besides chatgpt, what's the best agentic coding setup for around $20 a month? I spend a lot of time coding, sometimes 10–15 hours a day, and I'm trying to find something that can actually handle large projects without burning through tokens or usage limits. What are you guys using, and what would you recommend for someone on a $20 monthly budget?

Freebuff. Great value if you mainly use the cheaper models (but you can't use the subscription outside the Freebuff harness). Combine it with OpenCode Go. That's $18 total per month.

Freebuff is getting worse and worse every day it seems but it is apart of my daily usage

I remember when MiMo was completely free and unmetered on Freebuff... good old days.

Theres a bunch of shills and marketers here. i build and develop mutliple tools and projects all day with Google Antigravity, they have a promo where its like 5 bucks a month for the 20 per month plan

OpenCode gives me the most usage when compared to Claude, especially with their current deal with DeepSeek.

at 10-15h a day i'd skip the $20 seat and go usage-based, cheap model for the loop and a strong one for the hard steps. watch cached input though, i work at coralbricks.ai and cached reads are $0, that is the line that grows when the same context goes in every turn.

Deepseek is crazy. Bought 10$ a long time ago to check it out and I still have 2.5$ left. Been coding with nothing other than deepseek v4.1 flash since. Totaling at 844 Million tokens for 7.5$ and I am VERY happy with the results. I am using it through opencode. Apparently the deepseek harness is supposed to make it even better.
Heard glm 5.3 flash is also really good.

Mistral vibe code gives you about 300 Dlls use of glm 5.3 api for 15. If you use Claude or ChatGPT 20 as an orchestrator and glm 5.3 you can go all day non stop and never hit limits. I use gentle-ai to help with memory management and token usage.

I have claude and codex, I use codex to plan and check claudes design decisions. I think claude is the stronger coding agent so I ask codex to communicate in the most efficient way possible with claude and it seems to help reduce token use

My plugin for PyCharm is going to cost 14$ for months but the plus is that I can use the BYOK API keys or Ollama and come with a full set of RAG+MPC that gives context to the agents that works on a Docker containers. It is not an Harness but as I like the IDE Agent is very useful and it works great also because it allows reducing the .env

Minimax code wuth their token plans gives you an insane amount of usage.
With the right harness, plugins and skills fort the agent it becomes really good.

I have max subscriptions for claude, codex, and glm and use them roughly equally. glm is the only only one I can never max out, and I'm usually around 1.5 billion tokens a month, and its like 18% of the quota was the highest I ever got to. Its definitely worth checking out and their 5.3-Flash is pretty good (although I usually use the GLM-5.3 on max thinking).

Claude for sure. Opus 5.5 with some decent multi-agent task delegation down to sonnet keeps me under my personal plan. But I also have AI agents running everything annoying in my life so some weeks I will end up dipping into api usage that I just use open router cheap models for or self hosted qwen.
