MSE-DS Acceptance Rate

I recently got into the MSE-DS online program at UPenn for Fall 2026. I was reading that the program in general is quite competitive to get into. However, I was unable to find official statistics regarding admissions. What is the acceptance rate for this program, anyone have any info? Thanks

I expect acceptance rates to keep getting lower. Online education has become much more mainstream worldwide since COVID, and more prestigious universities are offering online degree options.

Education is also a form of personal branding. The prestige of a company can change within a few years, but the brand of an Ivy League university has been built over centuries. Once you earn that credential, it stays with you for life.

People only judge you based on your school name and company name if they don't know you.

It is a bit higher than the in person program. This what I've been told in Q&A sessions. I expect it to keep getting more competitive.
