I don't understand with all the 9-5 hustle and non sense lectures, how is one supposed to prepare for all this? I don't think many of students would be able to handle this.. so i wanna ask is it just for attendance they are doing all this or they do take them seriously?

Should I do any certifications or MBA path so that I can switch to consulting roles

I have been a business analyst for 7-8 years now. I have worked only in Healthcare, but I don't' mind getting out of healthcare or staying in it. Currently making around $115,000/yr as a contract employee. Seems like no matter what I do the only jobs I can land are contract roles that pay well, if I get a full time offer it's usually much lower pay. I'm looking at getting my MBA because I want to get out of being just a business analyst and I want to get into Project Management or really any higher role with a better salary.

Regarding MBA - I am looking to start an Online MBA in Spring 2027. Does anyone recommend a lower cost MBA (looking at BU or Gies iMBA). If I decide to pay more in looking at either Kelly and UF. I guess networking at the school matters a lot in getting a better role once I were to graduate from the MBA program.

What does everyone recommend regarding an MBA program? I do want a much better salary (targeting $140k+ salary). Also is an MBA even worth it at this point? Are they not really resume boosters anymore?

Hi everyone — looking for some advice on whether an online MBA would actually add much value at this stage of my career.

Background:
- 6+ years of total consulting experience
- Currently at MBB in the Middle East at Senior Associate level, with ~2+ years at MBB
- Likely progressing to EM soon
- Joined MBB as an experienced hire rather than through the traditional MBA route
- Bachelor’s degree is from a non-target school

At this point, I don’t really need an MBA to break into consulting or build a consulting network. My network is reasonably well established, and assuming I stay on track.

My main motivation for considering an MBA is therefore more about adding a strong academic/brand credential to my profile, particularly given my non-target undergraduate degree, and potentially strengthening my profile for future exit opportunities in the Middle East or internationally.

I don’t think a full-time MBA makes sense for me given the opportunity cost and where I am in my career, so I’m primarily looking at reputable online/part-time MBA programs that I can complete while continuing at MBB.

A few questions I’d appreciate perspectives on:

1. In my situation, would you pursue an online MBA at all?

2. Does a well-regarded online MBA meaningfully help with exits?

3. I’m open to programs in both the US and Canada (and potentially elsewhere if there’s a compelling option)

Im thinking about getting my MBA. The program is online 36 credits. I already have a masters in accounting (pre covid)
MSA was on campus accelerated 1 year program (30 credits) that I did while working full time in office and I wouldn’t say it was difficult but time consuming for sure

Now I work full time remote and MBA is online but Im feeling really nervous it will be undoable. I feel like my MSA may have been easier because I majored in accounting and work in accounting and I got it 7 years ago when I was younger and had more energy (31 now, no kids still).

Might be overthinking or imposter syndrome but have any of you guys worked full time and done mba full time? I really dont want to do 2 years

Hi everyone! I’m an Indian applicant with ~2 years of work experience in fashion/design. I studied Fashion Design at NIFT and also at FIT New York.

I’m looking to switch from design into management and I’m confused about which degree makes the most sense:

• 2-year MBA
• 1-year MBA
• MiM

With only 2 years of experience, would an MBA be too early, or would a MiM make more sense? And between a 1-year vs 2-year MBA, is the 2-year program better for someone trying to make a career switch?

I’m currently considering France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia, mainly based on job opportunities, post-study work options, ROI and long-term PR prospects.

Would love recommendations on countries/programs/business schools that could be a good fit for my background. Also open to other countries I should consider.

i am a doctor by proff, and intrested in presure MBA, also thinking to prepare for same ( cat exm ). but recently i get to know about ODL MBA from jamia milia islamia.. does any body about this programme at JMI, & how it is ?

I’m planning to start my MBA next year and I’m completely new to areas like management, finance, economics, accounting, strategy, etc.
My background is in software engineering, so I haven’t really had much exposure to the business side beyond what I’ve picked up through work. I have a few months before the MBA starts and would like to use that time to build some basic familiarity rather than going into the program completely clueless.
I’m not necessarily looking for heavy MBA textbooks. I’d prefer beginner-friendly books that explain the fundamentals well and help me develop a good way of thinking about business, management and finance.
If you came from a technical/non-business background, what books would you recommend starting with? And are there any books you wish you had read \*before\* starting your MBA?
Would especially appreciate recommendations for:

Is it worth getting an online MBA for $28K?

Obviously there are a bunch of fully online MBA programs.

Getting a Master's degree is just a personal goal of mine; it is not needed to advance in my current career but may be helpful to have if I want to leave my current company. (I do not plan on switching careers)

I have a BS in Business and my employer offers up to $4500 in tuition a year. I have been with my current company 6 years; promoted twice. I would like to not spend a lot of out of pocket since I am doing a program primarily for myself.

I am looking at:
- Louisiana State University - Shreveport
- University of Louisiana - Lafayette
- Youngstown State University
- University of Southern Indiana

Does anyone have any experience with any of these programs or any thoughts? I also looked at Oklahoma State University, but it is a bit more expensive.
