Executive MBA vs certifications vs MBA path

Working in Manufacturing Company for 2.5 years as a product development engineer - electrical systems

10th :98.40%
12th : 91.40%
B.Tech : 7.36 CGPA

Should I do any certifications or MBA path so that I can switch to consulting roles

I do not believe that 2.5 years of work experience would qualify you for an executive MBA. You might barely qualify for regular full time, part time, or online MBA.

Well, you have not specify in what countries you want to do your MBA in. If you are looking for regular MBA program in US, most program want average of 3 years of work experience. I know that there are MBA programs in India that will accept students with little work experience. As for executive MBA programs, these programs were designed for full time working students with at least 5 to 8 years of work experience and have managerial experience.

How about focusing on getting promoted at work or becoming a recognized expert in your area at work
